How It Works: Consign / Sell

1. Submit Your Item


Create an account and complete the Consignment Quote Form on our website or app under Sell.


2. Receive Your Quote


Please allow 1–2 business days to receive your quote.


  • Consignment Quote: Your item will be listed at the quoted price. Once sold, you receive your payout minus commission.
  • Buyout Quote: Prefer not to wait? Choose an instant payout at a lower amount once your item is processed.


Quotes are issued in USD or CAD based on your location and are valid for 30 days. Items must be received within this period; otherwise, a new quote may be issued.


3. Print Packing Slip, Package, & Ship or Drop Off Your Item


Once your quote is accepted in the My Luxe section of the app or on our website, please print your packing slip, package your item, and either ship it to us or drop it off in person. The packing slip allows us to properly identify your item upon arrival. A printed packing slip must be included with all shipped items. Items received without a packing slip may experience processing delays, which could result in quote expiration. Luxe Du Jour does not search for or attempt to identify unidentified items.

Drop-Off Hours:

Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (excluding holidays)


All shipping is at the consignor’s risk. Luxe Du Jour is not responsible for loss or damage during transit.

Once an item is consigned, a buyout is no longer guaranteed and may be reduced if requested later.


4. Authentication, Listing & Payout


Once received, please allow up to one business day for your item to be checked in, at which time you will receive a notification. All items are then inspected for authenticity, condition, and inclusions. If a pricing adjustment is required due to discrepancies in condition, attributes, or accessories, a revised quote will be issued. Clients have five business days to respond to a revision. If no response is received within this timeframe, the original quote will expire and a new quote may be required.


  • Buyout payouts are processed after authentication and revisions.
  • Consignment payouts are issued the Friday following the fulfillment of the sale of the item.


Payout methods include email transfer (e-transfer), Zelle, Site Credit, or ACH.

All payouts must be requested through My Earnings.


5. Consignment Rates, Term & Withdrawals

Please see below for our current consignment fee schedule:


  • Up to $1,000 - 40%
  • $1,001 – $2,500 - 25%
  • $2,501 – $5,000 - 20%
  • $5,001 – $10,000 - 18%
  • $10,001 and above - 15%


Minimum consignment term: 90 days

After 90 days, you may request a return (shipping fees apply) or authorize a flash sale at a new price

Early withdrawal before 90 days is subject to a $250 fee


Condition Grading Scale

*Please note the below scale will be implemented by February 2026.

Pristine

Appears brand new and unused, with no visible signs of wear.

Includes original inclusions when applicable. Ideal for collectors or gifting.


Excellent

Like-new condition with very minimal signs of handling or storage.

No visible wear at a glance; structure, color, and materials remain firm and clean.


Great

Light signs of wear from occasional use.

Minor imperfections may be present in low-visibility areas but do not impact overall appearance.


Very Good

Noticeable but well-maintained wear consistent with careful use.

May show light scuffing, softening, or natural patina while remaining fully functional and attractive.


Good

Visible wear consistent with regular use.

Signs of wear are more apparent but the item remains wearable and structurally sound.


Acceptance Guidelines


To maintain quality, authenticity, and resale demand, we may decline items including but not limited to:


Product Categories

  • Clothing, shoes, and hats
  • Large hardside luggage over 50 cm
  • Home or décor items (accepted only on a limited, case-by-case basis)
  • Non-retail items, including VIP gifts, samples, uniforms, or items marked “not for resale”

Please note: While we accept select brands, not all categories or styles within those brands are eligible. Acceptance is based on current demand, condition, and inventory needs.


Condition, Modifications & Completeness

  • Items with excessive wear, damage, or strong odors (including perfume, mildew, or mothballs)
  • Items missing essential or functional components (such as straps or handles)
  • Refurbished, altered, heavily restored, upcycled, or visibly modified items by third parties (Luxe Bag Spa–serviced items may be eligible)
  • Irreversible personalization that significantly impacts resale value


Pricing & Market Demand

  • Dated, low demand, or overstocked styles


Brand-Specific & Technical Limitations

  • Chanel items with 177/178 serial series
  • Items with missing or illegible serial or date codes
  • Device-specific electronic accessories
  • Isolated Louis Vuitton Neverfull pochettes from NFC-chip bags (the pochette must have a date code present for individual sale)
